Ente Ummante Peru (transl. My mother's name) is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Jose Sebastian and co-written by Sebastian and Sarath R. Nath.The film stars Tovino Thomas and Urvashi. The story is set in the backdrop of northern Kerala (Malabar region) and Lucknow.
Principal photography commenced on April 2018 and the first schedule was wrapped by end of April. The second schedule commenced in September and the filming was complete by October 2018. Gopi Sunder composed the music and background score for the film.
Hamid (Tovino Thomas) is a person who is only having his father as his family. He was raised only by his father from his childhood. He doesn't know anything about his mother.Whenever he asked anything about his mother to his father, his father never responded to it. Other important people in his life are his father's friend Hamzakkoya(Mamukkoya) and his friend/worker Beeran(Hareesh Perumanna). One day, Hamid visits a marriage party with Beeran and Beeran is suddenly called by Hamzakkoya. He informs Beeran that Hamid's father just passed away. The death of his father makes Hamid extremely sad since he believes that he has no one as his family even though Beeran and Hamzakkoya tells him that they are with him.
