Krack is a 2021 Indian Telugu-language action film directed by Gopichand Malineni, who wrote the script with the dialogues given by Sai Madhav Burra. It stars Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Samuthirakani. Produced by B. Madhu under Saraswathi Films Division banner, it is based on multiple true incidents that took place in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The story follows P. Veera Shankar (Ravi Teja), an Andhra-based circle inspector, known for eliminating criminals with his signature policing style. When Shankar is appointed in Ongole, a notorious gangster Katari Krishna (Samuthirakani) commits a spine-chilling murder and angers Shankar, which leads to the rivalry between Shankar and Katari.
After launch at a formal ceremony on 14 November 2019 at Hyderabad, principal photography commenced on 21 November 2019, and ended on 7 December 2020, despite production delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film features music scored by S. Thaman, while cinematography is handled by G. K. Vishnu and editing done by Naveen Nooli. Krack was released theatrically on 9 January 2021, and was successful at the box office becoming the 9th highest grossing film of 2021.
